Glean
Enterprise Work AI platform that unifies search, assistant, and agents over a permissions aware knowledge graph of a company's data, people, and processes across over one hundred connected systems.
Glean is an enterprise Work AI platform that connects a company's people to its collective knowledge and lets them act on it. Founded in 2019 by Arvind Jain, a former Google distinguished engineer and Rubrik co founder, along with T.R. Vishwanath, Tony Gentilcore, and Piyush Prahladka, the company grew from an enterprise search tool into a full agentic platform. By 2026 it had passed three hundred million dollars in annual recurring revenue and raised a Series F at a seven point two billion dollar valuation, with customers including Databricks, Canva, TIME, and Booking.com.
At the heart of Glean is its Enterprise Graph, a proprietary knowledge graph that maps how data, people, permissions, and processes fit together across more than one hundred connected applications such as Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Jira, and Workday. Every answer is grounded in this context and referenceable back to source documents, and crucially it is permissions aware: Glean enforces each user's existing access rights at the source, so search and agents only ever surface information that person is already allowed to see.
On top of that foundation sit Glean Assistant and Glean Agents. The Assistant offers fast and extended thinking, deep research, and scheduled proactive help, while the Agents platform provides a horizontal foundation for building and governing agents, with more than thirty prebuilt agents, per step model selection across a hub spanning Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and Azure OpenAI, a hosted Model Context Protocol server, and an agents application programming interface. Glean already powers over one hundred million agent actions a year across enterprise workflows.
Security has been foundational since day one, reflecting the founders' background in data security. Glean holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and HIPAA, encrypts data with AES 256, and layers on Glean Protect, whose agent alignment models pre scan every write action to keep agents in scope. For regulated buyers it offers single tenant, customer managed, and on premises deployments, including air gapped environments built in partnership with Dell Technologies.

In practice
A new hire has a hundred questions in their first week. They ask Glean Assistant, which searches every connected system, respects what they are allowed to see, and answers with citations back to the source.
A sales rep asks Glean to summarize a deal. A Glean agent drafts a technical response, cross references it against internal product specs, and stages the draft for review inside the customer relationship management tool.
A platform team wants agents that plug into every business system safely. They build on Glean Agents, using its knowledge graph, model hub, and Model Context Protocol server, with Glean Protect governing every write action.
