The week in one lineBase44 gave automated systems their own service principals, Agno pushed per user isolation down through memory and vector stores, and Boomi shipped a control plane that checks an agent's identity before it acts. A week after application vendors opened a second front door with MCP, the work was deciding whose credential walks through it. Read the issue →

Ranked
The best agentic AI platforms in 2026
24 agentic AI platforms scoring 12.5 or higher out of 14 on the Agentic Index coverage score, drawn from 557 platforms across 969 researched vendors. Graded on documented public evidence only. No vendor pays for placement.
See the 24 best agentic AI platforms, ranked →Buying for an enterprise? Only 94 of those 557 platforms document all four enterprise governance capabilities in full: SOC 2, SSO and role based access control; self hosted or private VPC deployment; tracing and audit logging; and human approval before an agent acts. See which platforms meet enterprise security and compliance requirements →
Almost every one of them now sells an autonomous AI workforce. Only 33 document all six capabilities the phrase requires, and the binding constraint is not autonomy: 969 vendors in, only one platform in five documents that its agents carry memory between runs. See the best autonomous AI workforce platforms for enterprises →
Two claims get made on every vendor call and neither survives the evidence. Tool calling and Model Context Protocol support are sold as the same thing: 188 platforms document tool calling in full without documenting MCP, and only 108 clear MCP, tool calling and model flexibility together. See which AI agent platforms support Model Context Protocol tools →
Tracing and evaluation are sold as the same thing too: 209 platforms document observability in full without documenting any way to test the agent before it ships, and only 72 document testing, tracing and human oversight together. See which AI agent platforms give you tracing and observability in production →
Buying an AI SOC agent is the sharpest version of that same problem, because the response action is isolating a host. Of 94 agentic security operations vendors, 36 document an audit trail without documenting human oversight, so you can read what the agent did and not govern what it does next. Only 24 document the full investigation loop from alert to approved response. See the top rated vendors for alert triage and investigation →

How we collect and verify data
The Agentic Index draws on independent research across 969 agentic AI vendors. Feature coverage is assessed from public documentation, product pages, and analyst materials. Support levels are rated Full, Partial, No / Not documented, or Unknown, where Unknown means evidence was insufficient in reviewed public sources, not that the capability is absent.
