Agentic Index
The AI agent directory for business: 984 production ready vendors, verified
Agentic Index is a directory of production ready AI agents and agentic platforms for businesses: 984 vendors across 13 use cases, each verified against a 14 point capability taxonomy, 13,776 documented assessments in total, every record dated. Index data was last verified on August 8, 2026. Browse the full vendor directory, see any lane ranked, or put vendors side by side. No vendor pays for placement.
What production ready means here
Most directories take the vendor at its word. This one treats production ready as a documentation standard: does the vendor publish evidence of tool calling, human oversight, deployment control, auditability, and the other axes a buyer actually has to answer for. Each of the 984 vendors is scored on documented public evidence across the 14 point taxonomy, and every score carries the date it was last verified. A vendor that markets autonomy but documents none of it scores accordingly.
The rankings below are mechanical. Coverage scores are summed, ties break alphabetically, and the order recomputes as research is verified, which means the leaders on this page are a snapshot with a date on it rather than an opinion.

How to use the directory
Start with the vendor directory to see the whole field, then open a lane on the rankings pages for the ordered version of this list. The comparison matrices put every vendor in a lane side by side across all 14 axes, and the change log records what moved this week, which is how a shortlist made today stays current next month. Pricing research covers all 984 vendors, including the majority that publish no price at all. Buyers evaluating the horizontal tier rather than the whole field should start at the best agentic AI platforms ranking.
Questions buyers ask
What counts as a production ready AI agent?
On this page, production ready is a documentation standard, not a marketing claim. Every vendor listed is verified across a 14 point capability taxonomy covering tool calling, human oversight, deployment control, and auditability, and every record carries the date it was last verified. A vendor that markets autonomy but documents none of it scores accordingly.
How is this directory different from an AI agent marketplace?
A marketplace lists what vendors submit. This directory is researched: 984 vendors, 13,776 verified capability assessments, mechanical rankings that recompute as research is verified, and a change log recording what shifted. No vendor pays for placement and there are no affiliate links.
How are the category leaders chosen?
Mechanically. Each of the 13 use case lanes ranks its vendors by summed capability coverage across the 14 axis taxonomy, ties break alphabetically, and the leader shown here is whoever tops that ranking as of the last verification date. The full ordered field for every lane is public on the rankings pages.
How current is the directory?
Index data was last verified on August 8, 2026, and the change log records vendor level changes as they are verified. Rankings recompute automatically as research lands, so the leaders on this page can change between visits.
