Inventive AI
Also known as: Inventive, AI Content Manager, Context Engine
AI native RFP and questionnaire response platform built around conflict detection, continuously flagging stale, duplicate and contradictory content across live connected knowledge sources before a response ships.
Inventive AI is a Y Combinator W24 company building AI native response automation for RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and security questionnaires. It is small, roughly ten people, and competes against platforms with a decade and thousands of customers on it by picking one problem the incumbents handle badly and building around it.
That problem is contradiction. Every response team accumulates answers across Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Confluence, CRM records and old submissions, and those sources quietly disagree with each other. Inventive's AI Content Manager continuously detects stale, duplicate and conflicting content across connected sources and flags the inconsistency before a proposal goes out, rather than after an evaluator finds it. The company positions this conflict detection as proprietary and it is the single capability every competitor comparison of Inventive leads with.
Around that sits a centralised knowledge hub that reads live from connected systems at generation time rather than from a curated question and answer library, so an update in the source file carries into the next answer without library maintenance. A Context Engine assembles per deal context from the RFP itself, web research and meeting notes, and a set of named agents handle work adjacent to drafting: competitor research, brainstorming differentiators and win themes, compliance management, and summarising long security questionnaires for review. Answers carry citations and confidence scores, and the platform ships single sign on, permission controls and audit logs.
The honest limits are scale and measurement. Independent comparisons describe the workflows as lightweight and the analytics as limited, which matters once responses span divisions and regions and someone needs ROI reporting. Flagging a conflict is also not the same as resolving it, since the correction still has to happen in the source file. And as an early stage company it carries far fewer reference customers than Responsive or Loopio. Pricing is unpublished and quoted per deal.

In practice
Two of your source documents give different answers about the same certification and nobody knows which is current. The AI Content Manager flags the contradiction across connected sources before the response is submitted rather than after an evaluator spots it.
Your team maintains no vetted answer library and does not want to build one. Inventive reads from Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion and Confluence at generation time, so an edit in the source file carries into the next draft.
You need a differentiator angle for a competitive bid. The research agents pull competitor context and brainstorm win themes alongside the drafting work rather than requiring a separate tool.

Pricing
Not published; custom quote
quote based, reported usage linked
What is public
Nothing on price. Capability documentation is detailed but there is no pricing page.
Billing mechanics
Custom quote with no published tiers. Reported cost drivers are team size, annual response volume, integrations and deployment requirements.
Cost watchouts
Cost drivers are undisclosed and reported to include integrations and deployment requirements as well as volume, so the quote shape is not comparable to the flat plan alternatives in the same cluster
Variable cost rationale
Reported usage linkage means cost tracks response volume rather than headcount, but with no published unit rate the exposure cannot be modelled in advance.
Additional watchouts
Buyers cannot size spend without a sales conversation. Independent reviews also flag limited analytics, which makes it harder to evidence return on the spend after purchase. As a roughly ten person YC W24 company it carries fewer reference customers than the incumbents it competes with.
Sales call required
Yes, required for paid access
Free / trial
No published free tier or self serve trial; evaluation runs through a demo request
Commercial notes
Being unpublished puts Inventive on the same side as Arphie and against AutoRFP.ai and 1up, both of which use published rates as an explicit wedge in this cluster. For an early stage company competing on speed of adoption, the absence of a rate card is a notable choice.
Key ambiguities
Sources disagree on the billing axis: the company describes usage based pricing spanning startups to enterprise, while an independent breakdown reports a pure custom quote model with no rate card. Neither the unit nor any tier is confirmed.
Missing data
No rate, no tiers, no unit definition, no minimum commitment.
