HR platform whose AI agent autonomously executes multi-step HR actions across the suite.

Factorial is an AI workforce operations platform that helps companies run HR, finance, and IT from a single system. Founded in Barcelona in 2016 by Jordi Romero, Bernat Farrero, and Pau Ramon, it spent its first decade building one of Europe's largest systems of record for people operations, serving more than 16,000 businesses across 90+ countries, and has since reset the product around AI.

The company describes itself as having moved from a traditional SaaS model to an AI-first platform. Instead of a fixed set of screens and workflows, Factorial now offers an agent-driven system that learns each customer's policies, executes against them, and adapts as the business changes.

At the center is Factorial One, a unified workspace built on a deliberately simple two-agent model. One agent represents the organization, holding and applying the policies a company defines across HR, finance, and IT. The other represents the individual employee, multiplying what each person can do within those policies by drafting work, surfacing what they need, and executing tasks on their behalf with accountability to the person it serves.

That design is a deliberate contrast with the rest of the market. Where many vendors race to deploy hundreds or thousands of specialized agents, Factorial bets that companies want fewer and smarter agents, clearer accountability, and a single source of truth for how the business runs, positioning it to expand well beyond HR into broader business operations.

In June 2026 Factorial raised a $150 million Series D led by General Catalyst at a $2.5 billion valuation, with Atomico and Four Rivers participating. It was General Catalyst's first direct equity stake in the company, and the firm committed up to a further $540 million through its Customer Value Fund, bringing total committed capital above $700 million. A large share of the capital is going toward Germany, where Factorial is opening a Munich office, alongside continued growth in France, Italy, and Portugal.

Integrations

A unified workspace (Factorial One) spanning HR, finance, and IT, covering recruitment, onboarding, time off, shift scheduling, payroll, expenses, and documents. The platform learns each customer's policies and executes against them, with an employee-facing agent and an organization-facing agent acting within those rules. Available across 90+ countries.

In practice

Your policies live in a handbook nobody reads and a system that can't enforce them. Factorial's organization agent holds the rules you define across HR, finance, and IT and applies them consistently as work happens.

An employee needs three approvals and doesn't know where to start. Factorial's employee agent drafts the request, surfaces what they need, and executes the task on their behalf within the policies the company set.

You're running HR, finance, and IT on separate tools with no shared truth. Factorial One puts them in one workspace where two accountable agents work against the same source of record.
