Recruiting platform combining ATS, CRM, sourcing, and analytics with outbound sequences.

Gem is an AI-first recruiting platform that brings the full hiring workflow, including applicant tracking, candidate relationship management, sourcing, outreach, interview scheduling, and analytics, into a single system. It began as a Chrome extension for sourcing on LinkedIn, grew into a recruiting CRM, and now positions itself as an all-in-one platform with AI built into the foundation rather than bolted on, used by more than a thousand talent teams from startups to large enterprises.

Gem offers two ways to deploy. A team can keep its existing applicant tracking system, such as Greenhouse, Workday, SuccessFactors, or Lever, and add Gem's AI agents, CRM, sourcing, scheduling, and analytics on top, or it can adopt Gem's own all-in-one platform with a built-in ATS and CRM and consolidate tools into one.

Sourcing is a core strength. Recruiters search a database of hundreds of millions of profiles using natural-language queries instead of complex Boolean strings, add candidates in one click from LinkedIn and many other sites, and reach them through omni-channel sequences spanning email, LinkedIn InMail, and SMS, with AI-generated personalization, A/B testing, and automated follow-ups. Because Gem holds the full history of every candidate, including past applications, prior outreach, and interview feedback, its AI agents make context-aware recommendations and avoid duplicate contact.

Those AI agents extend across the workflow, handling sourcing, ranking and reviewing applications against job requirements, summarizing profiles, rediscovering and re-engaging past candidates from existing talent pools, and flagging potential fraud. Scheduling automation finds interview times across calendars and time zones and sends reminders, while analytics give recruiters full-funnel pipeline visibility, source effectiveness, forecasting, and diversity insights.

Gem also supports talent marketing through career sites, events, and landing pages, and it meets enterprise needs with SOC 2 compliance, GDPR alignment, and single sign-on. The pitch throughout is consolidation: replacing several separate point tools with one connected, AI-native recruiting platform so recruiters spend less time switching between systems and more time hiring.

In practice

You're sourcing senior Python engineers in a specific region and dread writing Boolean strings. Gem lets you search hundreds of millions of profiles in plain English and add candidates in one click from LinkedIn and other sites.

Your recruiting stack is a separate ATS, CRM, sourcing tool, and scheduler that don't talk to each other. Gem consolidates them into one platform, or layers its AI agents and CRM on top of the ATS you already use.

A vetted candidate you contacted last year is perfect for a new role, but they're buried in your old outreach. Gem's rediscovery agent re-engages past candidates from your talent pool with refreshed data.

Integrations & Tool CallingAgents layer directly on top of leading third party applicant tracking systems for enterprises that keep their existing ATS, and the all in one platform natively connects sourcing, CRM, scheduling, and analytics without syncing, but a documented tool calling surface was not retrieved, Gem home and AI overview pages 2026-07-22 Partial
Workflow OrchestrationNamed agents cover sourcing, application review, fraud detection, rediscovery, scheduling, and interview summaries and share one dataset across the whole recruiting funnel, but each agent runs a scoped task rather than a configurable multi step workflow, Gem AI recruiting agents and AI overview pages 2026-07-22 Partial
Knowledge Grounding & RAGAgents are grounded in more than 800 million profiles plus the customer's complete ATS and CRM history including past applications, interview scorecards, email engagement, and recruiter notes, which Gem contrasts with tools that see isolated resumes, Gem AI recruiting agents page 2026-07-22 Full

Security, Identity & GovernanceDocumented responsible AI guardrails strip personally identifiable information from profile data before it reaches the model, warn on biased inputs against EEO guidelines, and flag subjective criteria, but platform security attestations or identity controls were not retrieved in this pass, Gem recruiting AI page 2026-07-22 Partial
Observability & AuditabilityEvery agent output carries objective numeric scores with explanations of how a candidate matched, recruiters control and can edit the criteria fed to the AI at any time, and match reasoning is readable, questionable, and overridable, Gem AI overview and recruiting AI pages 2026-07-22 Full
