Taskade
AI-native workspace and no-code builder with autonomous Plan & Execute agents and multi-agent teams.
Taskade is an AI-native unified workspace that combines real-time collaboration, AI agents, workflow automation, and no-code app generation in a single tool, positioning itself as an operating system for team productivity. It began in 2017 as a collaborative document and project editor and has progressively layered AI on top without removing the underlying productivity features.
The platform is organized around what Taskade calls Workspace DNA, a self-reinforcing loop of four primitives: Projects (memory and data), Agents (intelligence), Automations (execution), and the app interface. Memory feeds the agents, the agents trigger automations, and automations write new state back into memory, so a workspace compounds in capability as it is used.
Taskade Genesis, launched publicly in October 2025, is the no-code builder that turns a natural-language prompt into a running application rather than static code, with a central orchestrator called EVE coordinating agent activity and the app lifecycle. Custom AI agents can be trained on files, data, and web links, deployed as multi-agent teams, and connected to more than 100 external tools, with a public API and an MCP server.
Founded by CEO John Xie, CTO Stan Chang, and CPO Dionis Loire and headquartered in San Francisco, Taskade is a Y Combinator (S19) company that raised a 5 million dollar seed round from Grishin Robotics, Y Combinator, and angels including Immad Akhund and Mark Pincus. It serves more than a million users, including teams at Nike, Netflix, Tesla, Airbnb, and 3M, and is sold self-serve with pricing that starts around 6 dollars per month.

Use cases & customers
In practice
You keep rebuilding the same client-portal-plus-intake-form setup across three disconnected tools. In Taskade you describe it once and Genesis assembles a running workspace around it, with the data, agents, and automations already wired together.
Your team's project notes, tasks, and the AI meant to help all live in separate apps that don't talk. Taskade keeps them in one workspace where the project is the memory, agents act on it, and automations write results back.
You want an assistant that knows your accounting method or where your project docs actually live, not a generic chatbot. You can train a custom Taskade agent on your own files, data, and links and give it a defined role.

| Workflow OrchestrationMulti agent teams take a goal and plan, delegate, and execute together with handoffs, and durable automations with branching and looping run multi step workflows that resume after failures, genuine autonomous multi agent orchestration. | Full |
| Knowledge Grounding & RAGAgents can be trained on your documents, processes, and business context and automatically access project level knowledge through Workspace DNA and a knowledge base, real grounding in your data, though not a deep citation tracking retrieval engine. | Partial |
| Human Oversight & GuardrailsShips explicit human in the loop controls for orchestrating agents alongside slash commands and role assignment, real oversight, though not a runtime guardrail enforcement engine with sandboxing and secret redaction. | Partial |
| Security, Identity & GovernanceOffers single sign on on higher tiers along with team workspaces and administrative controls, real access governance, though published compliance certifications are limited and reviewers note enterprise governance depth is a gap. | Partial |
| Observability & AuditabilityProvides advanced analytics and auto saved persistent agent conversations for review, real visibility, though not a dedicated agent tracing and evaluation platform. | Partial |
| Memory & State PersistenceAgents carry long term memory that persists across conversations, projects, and sessions so they retain context and improve over time, a first class memory system. | Full |
| Deployment & Data ResidencyRuns as a cloud service with native desktop and mobile applications, and self hosting, on premises, or a private customer controlled deployment is not offered, so deployment and data residency control is not available. | Unable to verify |

| Triggers & Channel CoverageAutomations run continuously and fire from schedules, task events, deadlines, incoming email, and feeds such as YouTube and really simple syndication, and agents deploy publicly or embed anywhere, broad event and scheduled trigger coverage across channels. | Full |
| Model Flexibility & RoutingRoutes across frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google in the same workspace and intelligently selects the best model for each task, with automatic upgrades as new models release, genuine multi provider model routing. | Full |
| APIs, SDKs & MCP ExtensibilityExposes a public application programming interface for custom integrations and supports custom tool definitions and embedding, real extensibility, though a published software development kit and Model Context Protocol support are not documented. | Partial |
| Testing, Debugging & OptimizationDurable execution lets workflows resume after failures, but a dedicated testing, debugging, or evaluation engine for its agents is not documented. | Unable to verify |
| Browser & Computer UseAgents can browse the web to gather information and an Autopilot capability lets agents use their own cloud computers beyond application programming interface limits, real browser and computer use, though it is not the platform headline. | Partial |

Recent platform changes
Taskade enabled the deployment of custom, white-labeled AI agents that feature generated avatars, custom personas, and distinct URLs. Users can publish these branded agents via a public Taskade link, a custom domain using a CNAME record, or as an embedded website widget without writing any code.
Bears on: Deployment / data residency
View sourceTaskade introduced automated syncing for AI agent knowledge bases, allowing agents to continuously absorb new information without manual file uploads. The new Knowledge Automation tab connects directly to dynamic sources like web pages, Google Sheets, Airtable, email forwards, and chat platforms on a customizable schedule.
Bears on: Integrations
View sourceTaskade Genesis applications can now accept file uploads and route them directly into automation flows. The release introduces a 'Convert File to Text' step with built-in OCR fallback for scanned PDFs, automatically storing the ingested files in the workspace media library for downstream processing.
