SageOx

SageOx is a Seattle startup, founded in 2026, building shared context infrastructure for teams where humans and AI agents work side by side. Founded by Ajit Banerjee, who is chief executive, along with Ryan Snodgrass and Milkana Brace, its founding team includes original members of the AWS EC2 and EBS teams and engineers from Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Remitly, and XetHub, which Hugging Face acquired. The company launched in January 2026 and announced a fifteen million dollar seed round led by Canaan Partners, with A.Capital, Pioneer Square Labs, and Founders' Co-op participating. SageOx starts from a specific problem: today's AI agents work in isolated sessions with no shared memory of prior decisions, architectural intent, or team discussions, so every task starts from scratch and misalignment compounds at machine speed.

SageOx captures context where it naturally happens, across conversations, chats, coding sessions, a command line interface, and existing tools, and turns it into structured knowledge that flows into every new agent interaction. The result is a kind of team hivemind, an evolving institutional memory that is handed to each new AI agent so it can pick up work with full awareness of prior decisions, generate output that reflects team conventions and architectural intent, and stay aligned as a project evolves, without a human constantly restating context. The company runs an open work model, giving users visibility into how its own lean team builds alongside agentic teammates, a live demonstration of its belief that knowledge should be captured continuously. Its early focus is engineering teams pairing with AI coding agents such as those built on Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools.

SageOx positions itself as a foundational systems layer for AI-native work, the context layer, much as cloud infrastructure defined the previous software era, rather than as another coding assistant. It is already working with early design partners. It is a strong fit for fast moving engineering teams whose humans and coding agents need shared, persistent memory to avoid drift. It is an early stage product, so buyers needing a mature, broadly deployed platform, self hosted deployment, or capabilities beyond context and memory should treat it accordingly, since those are not yet documented.
