OutSystems, based in Boston with roots in Portugal, is a leading AI powered low code platform that has repositioned itself as an Agentic Systems Platform for building, orchestrating, and governing AI agents alongside applications. Founded in 2001 and now led by chief executive Woodson Martin, it is a large, privately held enterprise vendor whose network spans more than sixty million end users, over five hundred partners, and customers in more than seventy five countries. Agent Workbench brings three capability sets together: model and data integrations that let teams connect a model once and reuse it, with broad support spanning Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, Gemini, Mistral, Databricks, watsonx, and open source options and the ability to hot swap models to optimize cost and quality without rewiring; full agent lifecycle management to build, test, deploy, and monitor with low code and the context of the whole app portfolio; and multi agent orchestration through a visual, drag and drop interface. It grounds agents in an Enterprise Context Graph, enforces guardrails and granular access controls, tracks agent reasoning, quality, and cost with built in observability, and includes an Evaluations feature that tests agent logic against a golden dataset with an automatic judge before anything reaches production.

OutSystems is a mature, enterprise proven platform whose strengths are unusually broad for an agent builder: strong model flexibility, sovereign and hybrid deployment control over where agents run and data resides, a genuine agent evaluation suite, and deep governance, and it does not itself drive a browser. It targets the problem of agent sprawl by putting agents, apps, humans, and workflows under one governed platform.
