Pickaxe counts more than 500 integrations.

Actions let the creator and their end users take actions and trigger workflows in connected tools in real time, and MCP servers are published as Actions, so services exposed through MCP become callable by the agent. Custom Actions and Zapier or Make webhooks extend beyond the catalog. A third-party review notes that the Gold tier caps Actions at three per agent, and higher tiers remove the cap.

Agents route to specialized sub-agents in a waterfall configuration for multi-step tasks, post-submission workflows fire after conversational forms complete, and Actions chain into connected tools in real time. The action set includes PDF generation during a conversation, structured data collection through conversational forms, and code execution. Automatic daily syncs keep connected sources current, per-file context instructions steer how the agent uses individual documents, and knowledge is shared at workspace level across agents. Regulated industry customers get sandboxed agent execution through the OpenClaw engine. Controls include access groups (public, member and invite only), per user usage budgets, role based access controls, granular permissions, and per file context instructions that constrain how documents are used. Customer-facing controls are enterprise single sign-on, role-based access controls, granular permissions, comprehensive audit logging of every interaction, and configurable data retention and access permissions, with encryption at rest and in transit and a commitment that knowledge base content and conversation data are never used to train AI models.

Regulated-industry customers are offered sandboxed agent execution through the OpenClaw engine, custom SLAs and advanced data privacy options. Pickaxe uses the word examined throughout and gives no SOC 2 type or observation period.

An activity feed covers the workspace in real time, with per user usage and spending. That gives a record of the actions taken in each conversation. Agents automatically store key details from conversations and recall user preferences, past questions and context on the next visit, with memory instructions set per workspace, so the agent writes the store and it is scoped per user. A User Memory list lets the operator filter and download memories as Markdown, PDF, Word or JSON for review, and each plan caps user memories per workspace. There is no retention period, expiry or purge path for stored memories.

Encryption at rest and in transit, customer data ownership, retention configuration, a Trust Center and custom SLAs are offered, but there is no region selection, virtual private cloud, on premises option, self hosting path or data localization commitment. Advanced data privacy options are offered to enterprise customers without detail. Website embeds, branded portals with custom domains, the API, email, WhatsApp and Slack are ways to distribute agents, not deployment or residency options. The choice across makers sits with the customer. Usage is billed at $1 of credit per $1 of model cost.

API documentation at pickaxe.co/v1/documentation covers an introduction, a Completions API for deployment inference requests, CLI and coding agents, prompt injectors, environment variables, webhooks and authenticated embeds, plus CRUD and listing endpoints for each resource with request and response examples.

A command line interface built for AI coding agents, including Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf, creates agents, syncs knowledge bases and deploys without opening the web application. Outbound webhooks fire to Zapier, Make and other automation endpoints, and custom Actions extend the tool surface. A community-built MCP server wrapping the public API exists on GitHub, but it is third-party, and Pickaxe publishes no MCP server of its own.

Testing runs through preview and test mode, impersonation of specific users to test access paths, one click model switching to compare cost, speed and quality with live rates shown, a cost estimator, and AI powered prompt improvements with real time testing. There is no scoring of agent outputs, judge, retained test set, expected answers, regression harness or way to compare one agent version against another on the same inputs. Agents act through more than 500 Actions and MCP servers, outbound webhooks, the Completions API and an integrated vector knowledge base, all programmatic interfaces. A Google search Action provides real time web retrieval, and code execution lets an agent run code directly, alongside PDF generation. Neither operates software through an interface that lacks a programmatic alternative. There is no browser control, navigation, form filling, screen interaction, visual grounding or desktop automation, and Pickaxe makes no claim in that area.
