Deployment / data residency
Agent Canvas now connects to DigitalOcean Managed Agents, so developers can create OpenHands agents hosted on DigitalOcean, connect to running sessions and pause or resume them from the same workspace they use for local agents. Each session runs in an isolated microVM sandbox with its own disk, terminal and browser tools, and paused sessions keep their files and conversations while compute charges stop.
Teams get a managed cloud place to run coding agents without provisioning their own sandboxes, alongside their local and remote backends.
Deployment / data residency
OpenHands Enterprise 0.74.0 can run agent sandboxes in two new places, a managed E2B backend and a Kubernetes backend, and makes Docker sandboxes safe for multiple users.
Self hosted buyers get more choice over where agent code runs, including their own Kubernetes clusters, which matters for isolation and infrastructure policy.
Human approval / guardrails
OpenHands Enterprise added Git Sync for automations. Administrators can synchronize automations with a Git repository, retain version history and backups outside the host, and review updates through pull requests before deployment.
Engineering teams can apply their existing code review process to changes in autonomous workflows. This provides a practical governance mechanism for organizations expanding shared coding agents.
Security / enterprise
OpenHands released version 1.16.0, which replaces the default all-on skill catalog with an explicit allow-list. The update also introduces a Linux desktop installer build and the initial frontend for Canvas Extensions.
Enterprise administrators can now enforce stricter governance by explicitly approving which agent skills are accessible to their teams. Furthermore, the new Linux installer expands local deployment flexibility for developers.
Deployment / data residency
All Hands AI launched OpenHands Cloud, a managed SaaS offering of the open-source OpenHands coding agent (formerly OpenDevin), providing a hosted runtime without requiring self-hosted infrastructure.
Cloud availability removes the main adoption barrier for teams that want OpenHands' open-source flexibility without managing the execution environment themselves.

Common questions
How do I keep up with changes to AI agent platforms?
Read one maintained change log instead of tracking each vendor's release notes separately. The Agentic Index change log records 1648 verified updates across agentic AI platforms, updated weekly, covering new agent capabilities, MCP and tool calling changes, memory, human approval controls, observability, deployment options, pricing and funding. Every entry names the vendor, the date, the change type and an impact level, and links to that vendor's profile.
How often is the agentic AI change log updated?
Weekly. The most recent update was Oct 21, 2026, covering Equal AI, Kognitos, Findem.
How do I track changes for one specific AI agent vendor?
Filter the change log by vendor, or open that vendor's profile page, where the same verified entries appear alongside its capability coverage across the 14 point Agentic Index taxonomy.
Where can I find a single feed of agentic AI platform updates?
This page is that feed. Agentic Index reviews vendor blogs, changelogs, documentation and press materials every week and files what materially changed, so keeping up with changes to AI agent platforms is one page rather than several hundred. Entries are filterable by vendor, change type, impact level and verification status, and each one carries the evidence basis it was graded from. The same entries are published as a free RSS feed at agenticindex.io/feeds/changes.xml, with one feed per ranking category listed at agenticindex.io/use-this-data.
