AI agent platform for Earth data. Its agent, Geoffrey, lets anyone answer physical world questions in natural language, autonomously selecting and fusing satellite, terrain and vector datasets to deliver geospatial analysis and simulations for insurance, energy, real estate, mining and natural capital, without a GIS team.

PangeAI is an early stage AI agent platform for Earth data, built to make geospatial intelligence as easy as asking a question. Its agent, Geoffrey, sits as an agentic layer over satellite imagery, vector geometries, terrain and coordinate systems, and lets an analyst pose a physical world question in plain language, for example which of 400 sites flooded last month or where the optimal site for a 50 megawatt solar farm in Nevada is while avoiding protected species. The Geospatial Analyst Agent ingests messy, unstructured Earth observation data, automatically selects the right datasets, and returns an answer in minutes rather than the weeks a GIS team would take, with dynamic layering that generates interactive simulations so users can toggle variables like climate risk or supply chain routes and see instant impact assessments. PangeAI is focusing first on verticals where spatial data is business critical and hard to work with: insurance, with next generation hazard scoring for flood, wildfire, wind and earthquake down to the individual property in minutes; energy, with agents that select renewable sites and monitor transmission corridors; and natural capital, with agents that detect land use change and forest degradation for asset managers. Founded in 2025 by Stanford trained experts Johanna von der Leyen, chief executive, and Marek Miltner, chief technology officer, with offices in San Francisco, Berlin and Prague, the company emerged from stealth in December 2025 with roughly $1 million in early funding led by MITON, alongside RTP Global, Tensor Ventures and Plug and Play and a research grant from Stanford, and is running pilots including with one of the largest Japanese insurance groups. The product is in early access.

Integrations

Geoffrey works across satellite imagery, vector geometries, terrain and coordinate systems, ingesting messy, unstructured Earth observation data and automatically selecting and fusing the right datasets to answer a question. The platform generates interactive simulations that let users toggle variables such as climate risk or supply chain routes. Broad external system connectors and a public API are not documented at this pre launch stage.

Integrations & Tool CallingGeoffrey works across satellite imagery, vector geometries, terrain and coordinate systems, ingesting messy unstructured Earth observation data and automatically selecting and fusing the right datasets to answer a question, though broad external system connectors are not documented (pangeai.com; Product Hunt; venturescout.io). Partial
Workflow OrchestrationRuns an autonomous agentic geospatial workflow, taking a natural language question through automatic dataset selection, spatial analysis and interactive simulation to an answer, described as instant, autonomous spatial reasoning at scale, though it is an early single workflow type (venturescout.io; PR Newswire; pangeai.com). Partial
Knowledge Grounding & RAGGrounds its answers on curated Earth data, autonomously retrieving the relevant satellite, terrain and vector datasets to answer a business question and providing explainable outputs, though this is geospatial data grounding rather than a classic document knowledge base (pangeai.com; venturescout.io; CNAIP). Partial
Human Oversight & GuardrailsPositioned as decision support with explainable AI outputs and interactive simulations that let a human toggle variables and review impact assessments before deciding, though formal approval or guardrail controls are not documented (venturescout.io; CNAIP; pangeai.com). Partial
Security, Identity & GovernanceAt this early, pre launch stage no security certifications, role based access control, single sign on or data governance details are documented for PangeAI in retrieved sources (pangeai.com; PR Newswire). Unable to verify
Observability & AuditabilityLists explainable AI and real time monitoring among its capabilities, giving transparency into how results are produced, though a formal audit log or run tracing is not documented (CNAIP; pangeai.com). Partial
Memory & State PersistenceUse cases such as querying which of a portfolio of 400 sites flooded and monitoring risks along transmission corridors imply a persistent record of the customer's assets that PangeAI monitors over time, though an explicit memory or state layer is not documented (Product Hunt; PR Newswire). Partial
Deployment & Data ResidencyPangeAI is an early access cloud platform; although it operates US and EU entities, no self hosted, private cloud or explicit data residency options are documented in retrieved sources (pangeai.com about; PR Newswire). Unable to verify
Prebuilt Agents / Templates / PacksShips a Geospatial Analyst Agent (Geoffrey) with vertical use case patterns for insurance hazard scoring, energy site selection and corridor monitoring, and natural capital change detection, though a broad library of prebuilt agents is not documented at this stage (pangeai.com; PR Newswire; venturescout.io). Partial
Triggers & Channel CoverageOffers real time monitoring and change detection (for example detecting land use change or monitoring transmission corridors) as ongoing triggers, though interaction centers on a single natural language interface rather than broad multichannel coverage (PR Newswire; CNAIP). Partial
Model Flexibility & RoutingPangeAI uses its own machine learning and deep learning models together with an agentic layer; no user facing model choice, routing or bring your own model capability is documented (CNAIP; pangeai.com). Unable to verify
APIs / SDKs / MCP ExtensibilityAt this pre launch, early access stage no public API, SDK or MCP server for external extensibility is documented for PangeAI in retrieved sources (pangeai.com; PR Newswire). Unable to verify
Testing, Debugging & OptimizationPangeAI performs analytical optimization such as selecting an optimal site and predictive modeling as product outputs, but no distinct agent testing, debugging or evaluation tooling is documented in retrieved sources (venturescout.io; CNAIP). Unable to verify
Browser / Computer-usePangeAI is a geospatial analysis agent operating over Earth data; no browser control or general computer use capability is documented in retrieved sources (pangeai.com; Product Hunt). Unable to verify

Cost watchouts

Geospatial analysis is compute and data heavy; if pricing tiers by query complexity or data volume as analysts expect, costs could scale significantly with usage.

Variable cost rationale

Analyst commentary suggests pricing may be tiered by query complexity and the volume of geospatial data processed, which would scale with usage and heavy compute; this is unconfirmed by PangeAI.
