Salesforce vs UiPath (2026)
The two largest names in enterprise agents, at 13 and 13.5 of 14, and neither is really selling an agent platform.
Salesforce sells the customer record, and Agentforce deploys autonomous agents across sales, service and marketing on consumption based Flex Credits. UiPath sells the automation estate, orchestrating agents, robots and people with Maestro orchestration, an agent builder, self healing and an AI Trust Layer. Whichever of these already holds your data will win on integration cost alone, and that is usually the honest answer.
Choose Salesforce if
- Salesforce is your customer system of record and the agents should act where the data lives.
- Sales, service and marketing are the processes, not back office automation.
- Consumption based credits scale with usage rather than committing you upfront.
Choose UiPath if
- Documented coverage is the deepest in the index and your automation spans systems Salesforce never touches.
- Robots and agents orchestrated together is what your estate actually needs.
- An explicit trust and governance layer over agent actions is a hard requirement.
