Skyvern 3.0, the rewritten browser agent that launched in beta in September, is now the recommended engine, and versions 1.0 and 2.0 are marked legacy. Skyvern published a production test across about 100,000 runs showing average run time cut by more than half and cost per run down 22.5% against 2.0.

Workflow Copilot now allows users to repair and rerun single blocks, test workflows end-to-end, and manage logins via a searchable credential picker.
These capabilities significantly improve the agent's resilience against complex authentication flows and dynamic web elements, reducing workflow failures. The enhanced Copilot debugging tools also lower the time and effort required for teams to build and maintain reliable browser automations.

Skyvern published its July 2026 changelog, moving the drag-and-drop Workflow Studio out of preview with resizable panes, full-screen YAML editing, and a Past Runs tab. The release also introduced a code-first browser recording preview, advanced credential management including passkey 2FA support, and global custom LLM defaults natively supporting models like Claude Opus 5.
The general availability of Workflow Studio and the new browser recording preview significantly lower the barrier for non-engineers to construct complex browser automations. Furthermore, the upgraded credential handling and custom LLM defaults provide enterprise teams with stronger governance over secure authentication flows and AI model expenses.

Skyvern launched its Agentic Process Automation (APA) Control Plane to govern complex browser automations across credential-guarded portals. The platform introduces save-draft blocks to persist partial progress during session timeouts, alongside centralized credential management, human-in-the-loop approval gates, exception escalation, and full audit logging.
Operations teams can orchestrate long-running, multi-step workflows across unpredictable external portals without the risk of silent failures or total restarts upon timeout. Features like state-aware authentication and approval gates provide the governance and compliance controls necessary for enterprise-scale robotic process automation replacement.

Skyvern's June changelog renames Workflows to Agents across the UI and public API, and adds multi-tab browser control, a Workflow Studio editor beta, native Google Cloud deployment, and stronger one-time-password handling.
The rename signals a focus on autonomous execution over rigid scripting. Multi-tab control and GCP self-hosting target enterprise teams automating complex, secure web portals that traditional RPA struggles with.
