Coding agent insights, now in public preview for Braintrust SaaS and BYOC customers and for self hosted customers on data plane 2.13, traces a team's coding agent sessions from Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, Antigravity or Grok. A dashboard breaks cost and tokens down by developer, model, tool, branch and API key, and a daily Loop automation surfaces recurring problems across sessions as findings in Patterns.

Observability / auditability
Braintrust announced Nitro, a new asynchronous query engine for Brainstore that separates storage reads from compute work to accelerate trace investigations. Nitro is automatically enabled for SaaS and BYOC customers, with support starting at dataplane 2.15 for deployments customers host themselves. Braintrust reports that full text searches ran more than twice as fast in its production comparison.
Teams investigating agent failures can search large trace histories with less waiting, including when coding agents issue many concurrent queries. Existing hosted customers receive the improvement without configuring a new search interface.
Integrations
Braintrust introduced support for tracing Cloudflare Agents. Users can ingest traces by exporting them via OpenTelemetry or by instrumenting their agents directly in JavaScript on the Cloudflare Workers runtime.
Engineering teams building AI agents on Cloudflare Workers can now natively observe and evaluate their workloads within Braintrust. This reduces the friction of monitoring edge-deployed agents and centralizes telemetry data.
Deployment / data residency
Braintrust released terraform-aws-braintrust-data-plane v5.5.0, updating Braintrust Services/API ECS to v2.2.1, changing the default Redis instance type from cache.t4g.medium to cache.r7g.large, and enabling Brainstore fast readers by default.
Materially affects self-hosted AWS deployment defaults, capacity assumptions, and upgrade behavior for teams running Braintrust on their own AWS infrastructure.
Memory / state
Braintrust released bt CLI v0.12.0, adding dataset snapshot create/list/restore/delete support plus bt topics btmap download.
Dataset snapshots improve reproducibility and state/version control for eval datasets. Topic-map artifact export improves analysis workflows.
