Daytona vs Unikraft (2026)

Both give agents somewhere safe to run generated code, and they isolate differently.

Daytona is open source infrastructure spinning up secure isolated sandboxes in under ninety milliseconds, usage based with 200 dollars of free compute, documenting 7.5 of 14. Unikraft runs agent sandboxes and headless browsers as strongly isolated microVMs with instant boot, checkpoint and fork, and scale to zero, on tiered public plans, at 8. The microVM boundary is a stronger isolation guarantee than a container; checkpoint and fork is the capability container based sandboxes cannot match.
